Areas of public assembly are required to maintain compliance with local,

state, and federal fire codes designed to prevent or contain fire. These codes

have sections governing drapery, scenery, and other decorative materials, as they can be highly flammable.

All County Flame Proofing only uses chemicals that have been approved by the Fire Department of New York. The chemicals we use to flame proof your draperies are non-toxic, water-borne solutions that are applied by spraying, and work by eliminating oxygen in the drapery during a fire. Our chemicals also are clear and do not change the aesthetic value of the materials. As soon as the solution has dried, the flame retardant drapery is effective, without any need for curing.

All County Drapery Flame Proofing will provide a certificate of flame retardancy, which states that the materials are flame retardant with an approved compound, the date of treatment, and the period of effectiveness.

All work performed is in accordance with New York fire code, and our fireproofing and testing meet New York standards. All County Drapery Flame Proofing technicians are certified by the FDNY, are always mindful of your business environment, and provide fast, professional service.

We will work with you to schedule a convenient time to have your drapes tested and retreaded if necessary. We track all our certificates on an annual basis and will notify you of their upcoming renewal dates so they can be re-certified before they are unsafe, before each certificate expires, and before they are in violation.
